In the early days of
recording, it cost thousands of dollars and required a lot of training to make
even the most basic recordings. But recently with the advancement of recording
technology but the huge price drop of a home recording setup. The Amount of
home studio set-ups has grown exponentially. To a point where most artist no
matter the genre of music has a home set-up that’s mostly powered for tracking.
Some major artist has actual home Recording Facilities! This brings a challenge
upon the shoulders of local professional studios whose clients are seeking
cheaper and more convenient ways to record so they’re turning from the
professional set-up and building their own.
Now local
professional studios have to find other methods of marketing or other lanes of
revenue just to stay afloat. Even the top studios in the u.s.a are feeling the
aftermath from the Home project studio explosion. This goes without saying that
there still is a high standard that’s set for commercial releases which can’t
be fulfilled in your basement at home. So the need for professional studios is
large in the mainstream community. An as a local professional studio we should
attempt to get that mind frame instilled in the minds of aspiring musicians.
